world premiere comes to JOI, the first season of "Rubicon", exciting new television series U.S..
The series consists of 13 episodes in the U.S. and debuted August 1, 2010. The title refers to the Rubicon River, which crossed in 49 BC Julius Caesar returning from Gaul, triggering a civil war in a figurative sense significant point of no return-that the protagonist of the show will inevitably cross.
Will Travers (James Badge Dale, already seen in The Pacific and The Departed) is a young political analyst in New York who has a difficult past behind: his wife and daughter were killed in the terrorist of September 11. From some strange coincidences contained in crosswords, Will discovers that the political non-governmental organization he works for, is actually a secret society conspires behind the scenes of the political world, in order to manipulate events worldwide. Following the death of his boss, Will finds himself unwillingly embroiled in one of these conspiracies ... where nothing is as it seems.
The cast includes: Miranda Richardson (Sleepy Hollow), Dallas Roberts (The L Word), Jessica Collins (The Nine, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Christopher Evan Welch (Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Lauren Hodges (Law & Order), and Arliss Howard (Full Metal Jacket, Natural Born Killers).
The pilot was filmed in New York and was directed by Allen Coulter (The Sopranos, Damages, Nurse Jackie). Kerry Orent (Michael Clayton, Rescue Me) is the producer.
