After a year of stop, back in 2009 one of the events "highlight" of the landscape of fat wheels. Back to the Gran Fondo Paola Pezzo, after the experience of Riva del Garda in 2007 and the rest of 2008 will be presented to an audience of bikers for the eighth time. Headquarters of the event will again Garda (Verona), as in the case of the first six editions of the race, a charming resort overlooking the Verona side of the lake and a popular destination for motorcycle enthusiasts. The dates will be those of 24, 25 and 26 April 2009, a festival dedicated to mountain bike, complete with a village Expo, a race of super enduro and an event reserved for the young. The grand finale, as always, it will be instead to the United Fund, to be held on Sunday 26 April. The event, as I said, go back where she was born, a Garda, Verona strongly desired by the City Council, under the coordination and organization of the tandem made up of the Garda and the Velo Club Team Paola Pezzo, offering to the many fans of this sport the guarantees necessary for a pleasant three days in Verona sauce. All riding along with one of the greatest interpreters of the mountain bike in pink, two-time Olympic cross country champion Paola Pezzo, who took the headlines thanks to the two won gold medals in five circles in Atlanta (1996) and Sydney (2000), not to mention the two dressed in rainbow jersey in 1993 and 1997. What's next April will be a whole weekend dedicated to fat wheels, with the Expo Village to open its doors again on Friday, followed by appointment with the event dedicated to children, for which there will be a further training courses organized in collaboration with the Local Education in Movieland Verona (Pacengo).
